from a vineyard of 35 year old Chardonnay vines planted on a windy plateau, with soils rich in limestone. 5-10% of the vines are Chardonnay-Muscaté a rare variant of the variety. Vinification is quite simple, the grapes are pressed direct, then half into barrel and half into tank, both for around 18 months, before bottling. This is an opulent Chardonnay with a touch of sugar that feels super integrated, it would be brilliant with spicy food. We got just three cases.
