FRANÇOIS SAINT-LÔ, LES POUCHES MACERATION AMPHORE 1 2020, CHENIN BLANC

From a parcel of Chenin Blanc planted in an ancient marine bed. The grapes are macerated whole bunch for two weeks, very gently before pressing off very slowly in an antique basket press. After this a portion of the juice went into two amphora that are buried in the ground and the rest in old barrels. This is Amphore 1 and the most limited of the Pouches this year. Incredible length with very vivid fruit and a lovely texture, this is drinking well already but will age with aplomb.
