100% Gamay from their own old vines half planted in 1927, half in 1970, which sit on soils deep in limestone and clay. The whole bunches are picked by hand in small baskets then put into a 30hl cuve by hand where they macerate whole bunch for two weeks. 2019 was a more delicate vintage and displays a more ethereal, lighter fruit profile with a beautiful minerality.
Two litres of utterly delicious Gamay from southern Beaujolais. Real favourites at the moment, so much so we have put together a little two litre pack.
100% Gamay from vines planted in 1955 Theize, 25 minutes north of their winery towards Macon. The second vintage on this parcel. Two weeks of maceration whole bunch then aging in a 27hl barrel from Beaujolais. Beautiful sun-kissed fruit, in a relatively warm year, this wine is still supple and fresh, with silky tannins.
