
Mattia is the son of Francesco Carfagna and made wine for many years with his family on the island of Giglio - Altura Vigneto.
He makes this distinctly Auvergnat tasting wine from old Gamay (Beaujolais variety) from a plot near Chateaugay closer to Vichy. Half destemmed, half whole bunch, macerated for 10 days.
It is light, but complex and long, with a balance of fruit and minerality. A great Auvergne red at a very reasonable price.
