Three vintages of the wonderful Cabernet Franc from the Bois Guyon vineyard farmed and vinified by François Saint-lô.
The vineyard is very stony, almost 100% limestone. Vines are over eighty years old.
2014 a very dry year, ten days maceration of destemmed grapes. 2.5 years in barrel and 1.5 years in bottle before release. Deep Cabernet of profound minerality.
2015 a hotter year, same vinification as 2014. Beautiful lush fruit and very soft tannins.
2016 - ten days whole bunch maceration. Three years in barrel. Impossibly elegant Cabernet that pours a colour you might expect from Poulsard or a light Pinot Noir.
